What to do and where to go in Santiago


Santiago is a big city, therefore are many places to visit. You can choose betwen varied alternatives.

A foreigner tourist in Santiago should visit the oldest sector: the center of Santiago. In this place they can learn about its history, which is reflected in their old and large constructions and monuments, including some characters representative in the history of Chile. Some of these places are The Palacio de la Moneda ( Mint Palace), the Plaza de Armas (main square), the Catedral, the Cousiño Palace and the Pre-Columbian Art Museum.
In the Palacio de la Moneda, you can see La plaza de la Constitución (the square from the constitution), and El patio de los Naranjos (the garden of orange) which is into the Palacio de la Moneda.
Also in Santiago they can visit the Mount San Cristobal. In that place we have a very beautiful panomaric view of the city. Here`s a big Virgin in the top of mount.

A very interesting activity in the Mount San Cristobal is the cablecar, this crosses the mount above its trees and plants, has several stops and each person decides where download.
Other activity can be visit the Zoo,in the Mount San Cristobal too, there are many tipes of animals. To get to this place into the mountain, you can up walking to get to this place or up in the fonicular. Also you can get a beautiful view while going up or down in the funicular.
Another activity, can be go to the snow whether it is winter. Here are a lot winter resorts, which fluctuateat various prices.

Also in many sectors of Santiago there is a rich nightlife.
Santiago has all these places to know and things to do, and many more, is a matter of take time to know it.
